IT Specialist

You will work with clients to plan, implement, and manage network and computer systems; field calls; triage problems; and resolve IT issues. Applicants should have a minimum of five years experience troubleshooting Windows, Windows Server, and network issues, have excellent communication skills, and a degree or related certifications in IT.

Overview

The IT Specialist is responsible for resolving clients technical problems remotely and in-person, recommending solutions based on client's needs, and deploying new equipment and software.

Responsibilities

• Triage and resolve client IT problems in a timely manner with a focus on customer service
• Analyze client computing environment to identify problem areas and inefficiencies
• Advise clients on future technology improvements
• Integrate hardware and software with existing systems and adapt to the user environment
• Continue to develop your IT skills by attaining new certifications
• Ability to work after hours as needed
• Be on-call nights and weekends about one week a month
• Develop and maintain internal documentation for system design and installation procedures
• Any other reasonable activity required by management

Required Skills

• Ability to prioritize the appropriate tasks amid a fast-paced, demanding workload
• Capacity to troubleshoot Windows Server, Windows desktop, network devices, and software applications
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 platform including Entra ID, Exchange, SharePoint, and applications
• Proficient in creation and management of Active Directory users, Group Policy, and NTFS permissions
• Understanding of, and ability to troubleshoot, network fundamentals including, DNS, subnets, and DHCP
• Ability to self-teach and learn new skills
• Strong communication and customer service
• Strong organizational skills
• 5+ years of IT troubleshooting experience
• Familiar with computer security best practices
• Valid driver s license and ability to travel locally as required

Additional Information

Location: Delmar, NY

Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Pay Range: $75,000 - $85,000 annual salary (exempt)
