Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Android Developer with a strong background in the automotive domain to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess over 10 years of experience in C++ and Java, with a focus on Android development and system design. This role involves designing and implementing complex automotive software solutions, ensuring adherence to industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop the technical framework for Android applications, serving as the technical owner for projects.
  • Guide and review technical deliverables by internal teams, ensuring quality and compliance with established standards.
  • Apply SOLID principles and design patterns in component/system design.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to maintain high-quality coding standards.
  • Implement custom Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL) for components such as Radio, Vehicle, Audio, and GNSS.
  • Collaborate on Android Automotive solutions, leveraging knowledge of Android Framework, Car Service, Android Treble, VNDK, AIDL, and HIDL.
  • Manage Android OS migration processes and implement security measures, including SELinux, Full Disk Encryption (FDE), and File-based Encryption (FBE).
  • Conduct code analysis, troubleshooting, and debugging to resolve design issues and performance bottlenecks.
  • Perform root cause analysis to identify and mitigate risks in the software lifecycle.
  • Provide technical inputs during Agile project planning and support SCRUM Masters and Project Managers in understanding technical risks.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in C++ (STL, Templates, Exceptions, Threading) and Java.
  • Proven experience in the automotive domain, specifically with Android Automotive applications.
  • Strong knowledge of Android Framework and experience in implementing custom HAL.
  • Familiarity with Android NDK and JNI.
  • Experience with Android Compatibility Test Suite (CTS) and Vendor Test Suite (VTS).
  • Experience with Android OS migration, security practices, and code debugging.
  • Proficient with project management tools (e.g., RTM, Jira, ALM) and agile methodologies.
