We are currently looking for experienced Core Systems Engineers who are able to assume a lead role to support our Combat Vehicle and Naval Guns Product Lines. This position is currently working 3 days / week on-site and up to 2 days / week remotely on a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off out Sterling Heights, MI offices. As a Principal Level Core Systems Engineer, you will: * Direct or support requirements development and management. * Develop and manage subsystem and component performance specifications by analyzing and deriving necessary requirements. * Develop and maintain requirements verification and compliance, and supporting artifacts. * Support requirements decomposition analysis to help drive concept architectures and system characteristics. * Direct and facilitate architecture development of assigned system, subsystems, and components. * Direct development and maintenance of interface requirements and interface design information for assigned sub-system, system and components. * Document concept design decisions and support generating System/Subsystem Design Descriptions (SSDDs) and capability assessments. * Coordinate and facilitate formal decisions and trade studies to drive design and document results. * Support the monitoring of cost, schedule, and risk. * Coordinate Systems Engineering activities to influence the design. * Support vehicle level Systems Engineering activities and program milestone reviews. #LI-Hybrid Required Education, Experience, & Skills * Bachelor's degree in engineering and 6+ year's relevant experience. * Systems engineering experience performing requirements analysis, derivation and allocation, and translating requirements to viable concepts design solutions within applicable constraints. * Experience developing architecture concepts and evaluating alternatives. * Knowledge of how to balance system design considering system concept of operations (CONOPS), performance, constraints, and logistics concerns. * Knowledge of how to plan, conduct and document complex trade studies. * Experience generating System / Subsystem Design Descriptions and capability assessments per the program statement of work. * Excellent oral and written communication techniques. * May consider candidates who do not meet all the above requirements for a more junior role or additional experience for a more senior role. Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills * Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering or Electrical Engineering with a Master's degree in Systems Engineering. * Experience with military vehicle systems. * Logical architecture experience, including development of use cases. * Experience in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), including SysML methodology and tools like Cameo. * Familiarity with Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF). * Experience with DOORS requirements management tool. * Have and maintain INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) certification. * Leadership and mentoring of engineers. Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $115779 - $196825 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
