Cloud Engineer with Security Clearance

At Restless Software, we're looking for a skilled Cloud Engineer to build and maintain the cloud infrastructure that drives our clients' success. You'll play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and managing their AWS environments, ensuring performance, reliability, and security. Be a key part of delivering exceptional cloud solutions for our valued clients. Responsibilities: * Design, implement, and manage scalable, reliable, and secure AWS cloud infrastructure, including VPCs, EC2 instances, S3 storage, IAM roles, security groups, load balancers, etc. * Automate routine tasks and workflows using scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and orchestration tools (e.g., AWS Systems Manager, Lambda functions). * Implement robust monitoring and logging solutions using services like CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Trusted Advisor, and customer provided tools to ensure system health, performance, and security. * Optimize the performance and scalability of AWS resources to meet application demands * Maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud infrastructure, configurations, and processes. Mandatory Skills: * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. * 10+ years of experience in a professional role as a Software Engineer * Relevant Bachelors Degree: equivalent to 3 years of experience * Relevant Masters/Doctoral Degree: equivalent to 2 years of experience * Relevant Certifications: equivalent to 3 months of experience * Proven ability to manage cybersecurity protocols, IT systems, and Assessment & Authorization (A&A) processes, ensuring compliance and security best practices. * Skilled in the design, implementation, and management of secure and scalable cloud infrastructure solutions. Proficient in implementing and managing infrastructure-as-code solutions, with a strong ability to collaborate effectively with development teams. * Demonstrated expertise in implementing CI/CD pipelines and automating infrastructure provisioning, application deployment, and system monitoring to enhance efficiency and reliability. * Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline. * Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). * Experience working in an Agile environment. * A passion for automation and continuous improvement. Desired Skills & Certifications: * Experience with DevOps methodologies and practices. * Certifications in cloud platforms * Technical proficiency in Linux system administration and DevOps tools. * Experience championing SecDevOps best practices to improve collaboration, efficiency, and quality. * Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and Bash. * Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, and their implementation on AWS (e.g., EKS, ECS). * Experience with JIRA or similar ticketing systems for task tracking and management. * On-the-job experience with sponsor's policies, security practices, regulations, and standards About Us Restless Software is an equal opportunity employer that provides highly skilled technologists and creative solutions to clients in both the private and public sectors.
