Position Overview:

We are currently seeking an Electrical Engineer who will be responsible for assisting in the electrical design and building of medical devices. Our company designs, manufactures and sells robotic systems that are used by patients in hospitals around the world. The position we are seeking to fill will involve circuit and electronic design, fabrication, and testing. The position will also require assembly of electrical components for company products. The preferred candidate has excellent hands-on skills working with electronics tools and some industry experience. The preferred candidate should have experience with Matlab and Simulink, real-time operating systems running on Arduino or Raspberry Pi, and experience with data acquisition. They should also be hard working, independent thinkers, have good hands-on skills and be good problem solvers.

Job Duties/Key Responsibilities:
  • Design analog and digital circuits
  • Assemble electrical and electronic systems according to wiring schematics and detailed notes, using hand tools and measuring equipment
  • Experience soldering PCBs and electrical components
  • Test circuit designs in applied applications
  • Additional duties, as assigned


Qualifications/Skills:
  • PCB design with PCB Artist software
  • Experience with Raspberry Pi or Arduino
  • Real-time operating systems and data acquisition I/O
  • Experience using Matlab and Simulink
  • Analog and digital circuit design and testing
  • Read and produce electrical schematics

Experience:
  • Experience with PCB design, microcontroller programming (Raspberry Pi or Arduino) and circuit design necessary


Education Level:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering
