Python Data Engineer
Introduction:
We are looking for an experienced Python Data Engineer / Quant Developer with 15+ years of IT experience and strong expertise in Python and SQL. The ideal candidate will work on data engineering, quantitative development, financial data processing, analytics, and high-performance data solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop data engineering solutions using Python and SQL
- Work on quantitative development and financial data processing
- Analyze and transform large-scale datasets
- Implement ETL/ELT processes for data processing
- Utilize data structures and algorithms for efficient data handling
- Collaborate with teams to develop production-quality applications
- Apply problem-solving skills for debugging and resolving issues
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders
Requirements:
Required Skills:
- 15+ years of overall IT experience
- Strong Python development skills
- Advanced SQL and database development knowledge
- Experience in quantitative development and financial data processing
- Expertise in data engineering and ETL/ELT processes
- Ability to analyze and transform data efficiently
- Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms
- Experience working with large-scale datasets
- Preferably, knowledge of financial markets, Capital Markets, or Risk domain
- Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills
- Proven experience in developing production-quality applications
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Pandas and NumPy libraries
- Familiarity with PySpark for data processing
- Knowledge of REST APIs for data integration
- Experience with cloud technologies for data management
- Understanding of data warehouses and relational databases
- Background in Market Risk, Quantitative Finance, or Trading systems
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments and version control with Git
