Sr IT Generalist

Description

We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Sr IT Generalist in Germantown, Wisconsin. This role primarily involves providing both direct and indirect IT support with an emphasis on hardware, software, and system management. The Sr IT Generalist will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining systems and processes to ensure the smooth operation of our business, adhering to safety, quality, and ethical standards.

Responsibilities:
Provide technical support and assistance in setting up, installing, configuring, maintaining, and repairing computer systems, hardware, software, and network systems.
Oversee system upgrades and backups to ensure the effective operation of all IT functions.
Actively engage in troubleshooting and disaster recovery strategies to limit downtime and maintain business continuity.
Collaborate with other departments and third-party ERP software suppliers to ensure all IT functions run smoothly.
Utilize skills in Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Cisco Routers, Cisco Technologies, Cloud Technologies, and Firewall Technologies to enhance system performance.
Utilize skills in AB Testing, Active Directory, Backup Technologies, Circuit Board, and Computer Hardware to ensure efficient system functionality.
Develop and maintain accurate customer credit records.
Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently.
Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action as necessary.
Address and resolve customer inquiries promptly and professionally.

Requirements

Must hold a minimum of 10 years of experience in the relevant IT field.
Proficiency in Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) is required.
Demonstrated experience with Cisco Routers and other Cisco Technologies is necessary.
Must possess a strong understanding of Cloud Technologies.
Experience with Firewall Technologies is essential.
Familiarity with AB Testing techniques is expected.
Must have a working knowledge of Active Directory.
Experience with Backup Technologies is required.
Knowledge of Circuit Board is necessary.
Must hold a strong understanding of Computer Hardware.
