Job Description:

Apex Systems is seeking a Systems Performance Engineer to join the team with our client in the Network Infrastructure industry

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for collecting and using hourly and daily service measurement data to optimize the LTE network.
  • Representing the team for feature related projects, new node integration, and other centralized tasks by meeting deliverables and holding other parties accountable per project plan.
  • Troubleshooting hardware and performance problems independently or by coordinating with other teams.
  • Supporting Network Performance in evaluating and improving areas of poor coverage by identifying system performance problems.
  • Reporting issues to appropriate engineers.
  • Resolving customer service issues, assisting in implementing solutions, and collecting drive test data in support of performance evaluations and build program prioritization.


Required Skillsets:
  • Knowledge of Samsung systems including USM and 3GPP LTE standards.
  • Ability to differentiate and diagnose RAN and CORE-related problems.
  • Knowledge of inter-modulation, distortion, interference detection, and mitigation techniques.

Additional Skillsets:
  • List skills that are not required to perform the role, but would be helpful and in some cases could supersede a missing "must-have" skill.
  • Knowledge of at least one data collection tool such as Datapro, Trace, PCTEL and TEMS Symphony.
  • Knowledge of data analysis/post-processing tools (e.g., Irisview, RTT, Truecall, Accuver, Trace, Actix, TEMS Discovery).
  • Knowledge of propagation and optimization modeling tools (e.g., Atoll, DB Planner).
