Threat Analysis Engineer- Entry Level with Security Clearance

Threat Analysis Engineer- Entry Level Contingent upon Contract Funding Purpose: * Valkyrie Enterprises has an immediate opening for a Threat Analysis Engineer- Entry Level in Columbia, MD. * This position is to provide support various technical areas serving as a multi-disciplinary analyst to multiple projects and programs. Gain a wide breath of experience across multiple disciplines both internally and externally to SEG. Job Description: * Data analysis and visualizations, including responding to quick reaction quests for analysis. * Analysis comparing intelligence information to existing data for various uses and purposes. * Develop and present briefings capturing analysis, intelligence information, and technology trends. * Perform studies and initial modeling efforts in support of various customer needs on quick turn tasking with limited scopes. * Documentation and presentation of work to internal and external customers. * Reviewing engineering briefs. * Preparing and present analyses to customers within context of customer needs. Qualifications: * Must have a Bachelor of Science degree or Master of Science degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and at least 0-3 years of related experience. * Must possess excellent verbal and written communications skills to convey abstract concepts to both technical and non-technical audience. * Must be able to construct succinct and focused briefs conveying a clear message to the customer. * Must be able to design and execute meaningful analysis. * Must have interpersonal skills to enable working, interfacing, and correlating technical approaches with a diverse team to understand and recommend forward-leaning tasks to the program managers. * Must be skilled in use of Python or MATLAB to read-in, interpret, analyze and plot diverse data. * Must have strong organization and data management skills. Desired Qualifications: * Two or more years of relevant industry experience, preferred. * Experience presenting at technical reviews utilizing Microsoft Office, preferred. * Programming experience and scripting in a Linux Environment, preferred. * Knowledge of aerospace/defense systems technology domains, preferred. * Experience with cruise and/or ballistic missile defense programs, preferred. * Knowledge of adversary or domestic cruise and/or ballistic missiles, preferred. Security Requirements: * Must have an Active DoD Secret Security clearance, and the ability to maintain clearance. Travel Requirements: * Minimal travel required. * If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID. (More information regarding REAL ID can be found: https://www.dhs.gov/real-id ) Physical Requirements: * Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods. * Able to sit and work on a computer for long periods of time. * Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another. * Communicating with others to exchange information. * Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.
