Cloud Engineer Work Type: Full TimeLocation: Washington, DC (Hybrid) Role Description: GridIron IT is seeking a Cloud Engineer with an Active Top Secret (SCI Eligible) Clearance. Duties: Provide technical expertise in range of cloud technologies to include cloud development, cloud architecture, cloud system engineering, cloud security, DevSecOps engineering and operations and Agile development methodologiesLeads team on projects of various layers of complexity and creates solution involving or affecting financial, scheduling, methodology, tools and prepares long and short-range plans for application selection, system development, processes, procedures and producing methodsActs as a liaison to take the project requirements from the customer and then translate that to a technical requirementManage the project stakeholders and works with them as a technical point of contact for everything related to cloud engineeringPlan, execute and close projects that meet or exceed customer expectationUnderstanding customer requirements and project KPIsImplementing various development, testing, automation tools and IT InfrastructurePlanning the team structure, activities, and involvement in project management activitiesSetting up the tools and the required infrastructureDefining and setting development, test, release, update and support the DevSecOps processHave a technical skill to review, verify and validate the software code developed in the projectTroubleshooting the techniques and fixing the code bugsMonitoring the process during the entire lifecycle for its adherence and updating or creating new processes for improvement and minimizing the wastageEncouraging and building automated processes wherever possibleIdentifying and deploying security measures by continuously performing vulnerability assessment and risk managementIncident management and root cause analysisCoordination and communication with team and with customers both external and internalSelecting and deploying appropriate CI/CD toolsManaging periodic reporting on the progress to the management and customer Qualifications:Amazon Web Services (AWS): FoundationCloud Architecture Design: FoundationCloud Computing: Foundation Preferred Qualifications:CompTIA Security +AWS Certified Developer Associate or Solution Architect, Similar certification in Azure or GCP preferredCertification in one of the Ci/CD tools preferrable Gitlab or Jenkins or attended courses in thoseITIL Certification a plus Skills: AWS Cloud ArchitectureAWS Public CloudAzure Cloud ServicesCloud EngineeringEnterprise Cloud Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.Compensation and Benefits:Salary Range: $120,000-160,000 (Compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, skills, education, certifications, seniority, and business needs.
