This position is ideal for a passionate IT professional who wants to support an engineering team working on cutting-edge model, simulation and other technologies supporting critical US Govt. missions. Responsibilities: Design, build, and maintain computer information systems utilizing Windows and Linux operating systems
Communicate with IS Owners (ISO) to ensure systems meet their needs
Assist with the creation and maintenance of security documentation Harden systems to meet DoD security policies
Perform system maintenance, updates, and backups
Coordinate with government security accessors and other representatives
Minimum Qualifications: U.S. citizenship
Active DoD Top Secret security clearance
IAT Level 2 (per DoD 8570.01M)
5+ years of experience as a System Administrator for Windows systems
3+ or more years of experience with Linux network administration
Proficiency with Network Configurations and architecture
Strong trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills for both hardware and software
Knowledgeable of the Risk Management Framework and DoD 8510.01
Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work both independently and in a small team environment
Desired Skills/Qualifications: B.S. in Computer Science, or related field
Experience maintaining classified systems
Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux
Experience building server environments
COMSEC experience
