Jr. Data/ Business Analyst
- Interview Date: Approximately Mid Nov 2026 (virtual + in person)
- Duration: 24 months
- Hybrid: 3 days in office
- 150 Greenwich Street, New York, NY 10007
- Pay Rate: $40/hr on W2
The Business Analyst will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
- Analyze complex business requirements and translate operational needs into clearly defined system enhancements, new features, and actionable requirements for the development team.
- Prepare ad hoc reports to support business data needs, operational analysis, and production issue resolution.
- Assess and troubleshoot system issues, distinguishing between training or user-related gaps, functional defects, and enhancement requests.
- Perform User Acceptance Testing for critical production defect fixes and system enhancements, including developing test scenarios and test cases, documenting results, tracking resolution status in JIRA, and collaborating with developers and technical business analysts.
- Provide guidance and support to business users regarding system functionality and training-related questions to promote effective system use and a positive user experience.
- Coordinate with the Project Manager, development team, and consulting staff to prioritize assignments, establish timelines, and deliver work within Agile sprint schedules.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- At least 4 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Data Analyst.
- Strong proficiency in databases and data analysis tools, including Microsoft SQL, Access, and Excel. Experience with Informix is preferred; knowledge of Attachmate Reflection is a plus.
- Two to Four years’ experience working on full lifecycle IT development projects or Business
- Advanced SQL querying skills and a strong understanding of relational database concepts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to validate requirements and prepare clear technical documentation.
- Experience supporting the redesign, enhancement, or maintenance of Case Management and Case Tracking Systems.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
