DevOps Architect

DevOps Architect needed for a contract opportunity with SOC's client to work onsite in Washington D.C. Public Trust Clearance required for this role. All qualified applicants are welcome to apply. * Clear understanding of change management principles and execution. * Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for DevOps processes, pipelines, and automation scripts. * Provide guidance on selecting and integrating cloud-native services for containerization, microservices, and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker). * Architect cloud-based and hybrid solutions to support agile development and continuous delivery with platforms like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. * Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for DevOps processes and lead the continuous improvement of operational efficiency. * Ensure the performance, reliability, and security of DevOps environments by continuously assessing and optimizing both infrastructure and deployment pipelines. * Implement and maintain robust monitoring, logging, and alerting systems using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, or ELK Stack. * Develop automated processes for managing cloud resources, including configuration management, server provisioning, and network setup. * Promote and drive the use of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate infrastructure provisioning and management using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet. * Ensure seamless deployment workflows across on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments, including staging and production. * Integrate tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, Azure/AWS DevOps, or others for automated build, test, and deployment processes. * Lead the design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines to automate the software development lifecycle (SDLC). * Create and maintain architecture blueprints that incorporate DevOps best practices and automation tools for both development and operational workflows. * Design scalable, resilient, and secure systems that leverage continuous integration (CI), continuous deployment (CD), and automated testing frameworks. * Define and implement the DevOps architecture and strategy to align with business objectives, improving software delivery speed, quality, and scalability. * Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. * Ability to address complex system integration challenges and find innovative solutions. * Proven ability to lead teams in a collaborative, cross-functional environment and mentor junior engineers. * Understanding of security principles and best practices in DevOps (e.g., DevSecOps). * Strong knowledge of scripting and programming languages like Python, Bash, Ruby, or Go. * Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, or the ELK Stack. * Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet. * Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and implementing DevOps solutions in cloud-native environments. * Extensive experience with containerization and orchestration tools, such as Docker and Kubernetes. * Expertise in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps, or similar. * Strong understanding of DevOps principles, including automation, CI/CD, and infrastructure management. * 7+ years of experience in IT architecture or engineering, with at least 3-5 years of hands-on experience in DevOps practices and tools. * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. * Certifications: Certifications such as Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert * Exposure to AI/ML integration within DevOps pipelines. * Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies. * Knowledge of cloud-native application design and deployment. * Experience with microservices architecture and serverless computing. #INDSOC Estimated Min Rate: $65.37 Estimated Max Rate: $93.38
