Job Title: Active Directory Specialist

Location: Houston, Texas

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Active Directory Specialist with a strong focus on Active Directory (AD) and Azure to join our dynamic IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing complex solutions involving Active Directory and Microsoft Azure. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure our infrastructure and cloud solutions align with business goals and security requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and architect Active Directory solutions, including domain structure, federation, and synchronization with Azure Active Directory.

- Develop and implement cloud-based solutions leveraging Microsoft Azure services and integrate them with on-premises environments.

- Create comprehensive architectural blueprints and documentation for AD and Azure solutions.

- Lead the deployment and configuration of Active Directory and Azure components, including identity management, authentication, and authorization services.

- Ensure successful migration of on-premises AD environments to Azure AD where applicable.

- Oversee and manage the implementation of group policies, security settings, and compliance requirements.

- Integrate third-party applications and services with Active Directory and Azure AD.

- Optimize AD and Azure environments for performance, scalability, and reliability.

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Active Directory and Azure environments.

- Develop and enforce security policies and best practices for Active Directory and Azure environments.

- Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards for data protection and privacy.

- Monitor and assess security risks and implement necessary measures to mitigate vulnerabilities.

- Work closely with IT teams, including system administrators, developers, and network engineers, to deliver integrated solutions.

- Provide technical guidance and support for AD and Azure-related issues.

- Lead workshops, training sessions, and knowledge-sharing activities to elevate the team's understanding of AD and Azure.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT architecture, with a strong focus on Active Directory and Azure.

- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, or Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate are preferred.

Technical Skills:

- In-depth knowledge of Active Directory infrastructure, including domain controllers, forests, trusts, and replication.

- Proficiency in Azure services, including Azure AD, Azure Virtual Machines, and Azure Networking.

- Experience with identity management, federation services (e.g., ADFS), and hybrid cloud scenarios.

- Strong understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements.

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

- Proven ability to lead projects and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
