Job Details

Overview
The position is responsible for ensuring compliance with ASME standards and codes in the design, manufacturing, and testing of our products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality engineering, an understanding of ASME codes, and the ability to implement and maintain robust quality assurance processes. Experience with Fiberglass Reinforced Plastics (FRP) is a plus. Expertise in ASME's RTP-1 standard is also a plus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and improve quality assurance programs and systems in accordance with the ASME RTP-1 standard.
  • Conduct audits and inspections of processes, products, and systems to ensure compliance with ASME requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and other departments to ensure quality standards are met throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Review and approve engineering drawings, specifications, and procedures to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Investigate and resolve quality issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions as necessary.
  • Prepare and maintain quality documentation, including inspection reports, audit findings, and corrective action reports.
  • Provide training and support to employees on ASME standards and quality assurance practices.
  • Stay current with changes in ASME codes and industry best practices, ensuring the company remains in compliance.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
  • Act as a liaison with customers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies on quality-related matters.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Quality Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality engineering
  • Proven experience in quality assurance, auditing, and process improvement.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in quality management software and tools.
  • Certification in Quality Engineering (CQE) or related certifications is a plus.
  • Expertise in ASME's RTP-1 standard is a plus.
  • Experience with Fiberglass Reinforced Plastics (FRP) is a plus.
