Principal System Safety Engineer with Security Clearance

Principal System Safety Engineer • Analysis of engineering hardware and electrical drawings and schematics assessing for fault tolerance, latent hazards, and safety requirements compliance • Working with test and tactical operating and maintenance procedures to assure the proper administrative controls are in place • Working across all integrated product teams and lines to properly eliminate hazards or provide effective controls. • Design of concise, testable safety requirements or providing safety analysis of existing requirements • Performing System Safety Program or Design analyses • Placement in challenging or under-performing programs with the expectation of improvement of the safety program • Managing multiple-large system safety programs or a safety product line • Interfacing with key stakeholders (e.g. customers, program offices, subcontractors, vendors) • Mentoring Multiple Jr. Engineers • Preparing Safety Assessment Reports and Safety Program Briefs for Customer Approval • Streamlining processes and reports across a product line for improved efficiency • Interpreting system requirements, customer specifications and military standards • Preparing internal and customer reports describing various analyses relevant to the System Safety program #CJ
