HVAC Project Mechanic (Union) at Johnson Controls summary:

The HVAC Project Mechanic position requires skilled Journeymen with at least five years of experience in residential, light commercial, and heavy commercial HVAC systems. The role involves installation and troubleshooting of cutting-edge HVAC equipment, with a strong emphasis on employee safety and ongoing training through a Service Technical Academy. Ideal candidates must hold Mechanical Journeyman status and possess relevant licenses, along with pipefitting and welding experience.

What you will do 

 

Do you have HVAC experience?  We are looking for skilled Journeymen who have worked in residential, light commercial and/or heavy commercial markets to join our Install team to work with the most advanced heavy commercial and industrial cutting-edge equipment.

Journeymen must be skilled craftsmen in their trade, and we prefer a minimum of five (5) years actual, practical working experience in the HVAC plumbing, pipefitting and/or mechanical equipment installation industry.  You may be required to pass a satisfactory examination as to your special skill.  

 

 

What we look for 

Required 

  •  Requires Mechanical Journeyman status 

  • 5+ years of residential / light commercial /commercial HVAC / mechanical installation & troubleshooting experience. 

  • Valid driver's license, appropriate licenses to work with refrigerants, boiler and steam operational & service knowledge. 

  • Good verbal and written communication skills 

  • Pipe fitting and welding experience
