Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN - PCU/Stepdown

Shift: Nights / 7p-7a, 12x3, 36 hrs/week, rotate every other weekend and major holidays
Length:13 weeks

Requirements:

  • WV license
  • 1-2 years cricial care experience
  • ICU skill set is required
  • Bipap, Cpap, Mechanical Ventilation, telemetry, critical drips, post cardiac cath care required
  • ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
  • CRRT and IABP preferred
Others:
  • Charting System: Meditech/EPIC
  • RNs required to titrate drips
  • # of Beds: 11 (increasing 11-12 beds following ICU expansion. Later 2023)
  • Ratios: 1 nurse to 4 patients
  • Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Post op vascular; hemodynamically stable cardiac dysrhythmias, CVA, Sepsis, Renal patients, Stable acute MI, Unstable angina, Post Cardiac Cath with PCTA or with a significant blockage
  • Float to ICU or Stepdown
  • Floating Requirement: Travel staff are required to float to Med-Surg Telemetry if not needed in ICU or Stepdown.  Also required to float to the Emergency Department to care for boarded PCU or ICU patient
