Warm and comforting patient care skills is mandatory for these sensitive procedures. Performs screening and diagnostic mammogram examinations and assists radiologist in performing mammographic procedures. This team member’s role is to obtain images of good diagnostic quality while providing maximum comfort and safety to the patient undergoing these exams.RESPONSIBILITIES:Maintains accountability for proper documentation of exams and related procedures utilizing the RIS/PACS and in patient charts as necessary.Performs screening, diagnostic, and/or assists in performing mammographic procedures.Monitors image quality on a continuous basis to ensure that all image quality is within alignment with the ACR quality standards. (American College of Radiology).Monitors equipment for proper performance and functionality.
