As a Sr. HR Coordinator at a Fresh Food Manufacturing facility, you will manage HR administrative functions to support Team Members, including payroll processing, attendance tracking, and new hire orientations. You will work closely with HR departments to address concerns, maintain documentation, and ensure compliance with employment legislation and safety regulations. This on-site position requires strong experience in HR coordination and technical skills in payroll and attendance software.

Job Description

This is an on-site work model position; Monday through Friday; 8am - 5pm. The office is located at 2500 Lovi Road, Freedom, PA 15042

Key Competencies:

  • Experience Required: 6 months to 1 year HR Coordination/HR generalist experience
  • Experience Desired: Hourly/Salary Payroll experience in a non-union environment;
  • Understanding of OSHA safety regulations;
  • Knowledge of general HR/employment legislation
  • Technical Skills Required: MS Office Suite, specifically MS Excel at an intermediate level (pivot tables, VLOOKUP); previous experience with Workday and Kronos Time and Attendance software
  • Education Desired: HR degree or equivalent

Job Responsibilities

  • Process weekly payroll, including pre-close, pay report review, overtime & labor reporting, payroll submission, paycheck adjustments, accumulated hours book and vacation/holiday tracking to guarantee Team Members receive accurate pay
  • Manage attendance tracking of both tardies and absence incidents of all Team Members, maintaining documentation of attendance write-ups along with proper disposition of medical documents and doctor's excuses to ensure accurate records are retained for the store's reference
  • Assist with Team Members' issues, including leaves of absence, payroll discrepancies, contacting the Team Member relations specialist with complaints/concerns and coordination of unemployment documentation and witnesses for hearings.
  • Assist HR Dept. with addressing concerns, investigations and executing disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Track birthdays and anniversaries for all Team Members, and the perfect attendance report. 
  • Submit quarterly/yearly perfect attendance bonus information for payout
  • Submit status change notifications, data entry transactions and terminations to corporate human resources to ensure accurate and timely information is obtained and any inconsistencies can be resolved.
  • Organize and facilitate new hire orientations, which includes creating name tags, scheduling new hires for orientation, reviewing policies and procedures, and completing new hire paperwork and I-9 verifications;
  • Take responsibility for miscellaneous payroll matters, handling punches, scheduling issues and Kronos (time & attendance software)maintenance.
  • Follow up on I-9 verifications for Team Members (I-9 certification required).
  • Assist with random drug testing (per established policy).
  • Assist fellow HR Coordinator(s) as needed.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned.
