Massage Therapist at ECHN summary:

A Massage Therapist administers therapeutic massages following prescribed techniques, providing care at rehab facilities to aid recovery and promote relaxation. Must be a graduate of an accredited massage therapy program and meet state licensing requirements with at least one year of relevant experience. Essential duties include performing diverse massage strokes, maintaining safety protocols, and collaborating on marketing efforts when necessary.

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

Administers therapeutic massage in accordance with prescribed standards and techniques. Provides massage therapy at ECHN rehab sites.

 

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION

·         Graduate of an accredited school of massage therapy.

·         Must hold or is eligible for Ct license and have one year progressive experience in massage therapy.

6.      Identifies precautions and /or contraindications to utilizing massage techniques.

7.      Assists in marketing when appropriate.

8.      Ensures work area is safe and clear of obstacles.
