- - Experience: Ok with first-time travelers.
- - Common drips: Insulin gtt, pain management, TPA.
- - Charge Nurse/House Supervisor: One shared role, can take a patient assignment.
- - Nurse aids/EMT/Paramedics/Patient Sitters: 2 techs, ER tech admits patients and helps out the unit.
- - Is RT in the ER 24/7: Available during the day, paramedics handle vents.
- - RT Equipment: Paramedics run the vents after MD orders.
- - Do you have Monitor Techs in the ER: Mindray monitors, RN to monitor own tele.
- - X-Ray or CT in the ER: Close proximity, otherwise in house.
- - Does Phlebotomy draw labs or RN's draw: Lab in house 24/7.
- Job Requirements
- - Required Certifications: BLS
- - ACLS, PALS, TNCC- preferred
- - Worked in similar hospital settings.
- Schedule Information
- - Shifts & Scheduling: 7-7, manager does scheduling, preferences and block scheduling considered.
- - Weekend Requirements: Every other or third, determined for each contract.
- - Holiday Requirements: Filling in holiday gaps.
- - Is there a call or a standby requirement: No Low census, if no inpatients all RNs stay.
- - Floating Requirements: To MS during any given shift for MS and ER patients.
- Unit Specific Information
- - ER (Emergency Room) unit seeking staff.
- - Nurse aids/EMT/Paramedics/Patient Sitters: Paramedic for all shifts, 2 techs on the unit.
- Additional Details
- - Scrub Color/Dress Code: Any color, no other Hospital Logos prints.
- - Unit/Department specific orientation: 1 full day, IT and resources, orientation on ER and MS.
