The role includes managing patient care on 7 on/7 off or flexible shifts, with responsibilities such as admitting patients and precepting residents but no procedural duties. The job offers guaranteed compensation for two years, benefits including malpractice and retirement plans, and opportunities for permanent or locum tenens employment. A group needs a hospitalist and nocturnist to complement the group of physicians. Full time is 14 shifts every 28 days. The hospitalists work a 7 on/7 off schedule for 10 - 12 hour shifts seeing between 14-16 patients per shift. Nocturnists have a flexible schedule that can include 4 on/3 off for 12 hour shifts and do approximately 6-8 admissions per shift. Closed ICU. No procedures. There is opportunity to precept IM residents. Employed guaranteed base compensation for 2 years, then productivity. Benefits include malpractice, health, life, disability, and retirement plan.
