The hospitalis operated by the LCMC Health and is the largest hospital in the system. UMCNO isaffiliated with Tulane University School of Medicine and LSU Health Sciences CenterNew Orleans, as well as several other healthcare degree-conferring institutions in theregion. The inpatient neuroscience services at UMCNO currently include a catheter-ready stroke service (Tulane operated), a neurocritical care service (LSU and Tulanejointly operated), an expanding Epilepsy Monitoring service (to be LSU and Tulane jointlyoperated) and two general neurology consulting services (Tulane and LSU separatelyoperated).
