- Position Description: Patient population includes treatment of CHF, Alcohol Withdrawal, NSTEMI's, sepsis, dysrhythmias, PNA, COPD, Covid, care of the post-procedure patients including pacemakers, ablations, and cath lab procedures, and OHS patients once downgraded from ICU.
- Position Purpose: This position provides optimal patient care utilizing knowledge and skills within the context of the nursing process.
- Nature and Scope: This position is challenged to diagnose and treat human responses to health problems and provides comprehensive nursing services to adolescent, adult and geriatric patients, including their families/caregivers.
- Job Requirements
- Experience Required: Minimum 2 years of telemetry experience.
- Candidate will be required to pass a telemetry competency exam, to include identifying and measuring rhythm strips.
- Schedule Information
- Shift: 3x12, Nights, 1845 - 0715
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
- Call Requirements: Call is not required
- Unit Specific Information
- Medications include non-titratable cardiac medication drips (Cardizem, Lasix, Nitro, etc.).
- May float to Intensive Care Units for a telemetry/medical appropriate assignment, medical-surgical units, as well Renown Regional.
- Additional Details
- Travelers may be required to float to the needs of the organization up to their competency level.
- May be required to work major holidays and is required to pick up one additional shift during schedule period.
- Renown has the right to call off, without penalty, 48 hours, for low census per 13-week contract.
- This may be full or partial shifts.
- Schedule varies based upon department needs.
- Schedule can include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts.
