Maximus TCS (Technology and Consulting Services) Internal Job Profile Code: TCS136, T4, Band 7 · Administer and maintain the RHEL-based server infrastructure, including installation, configuration, and patch management. · Work on RHEL 7.x/8.x and perform system administration, which includes installation, configuration, and maintenance · Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies to ensure optimal performance and reliability. · Perform system backups and recovery processes to ensure high availability and data protection. · Evaluate and recommend hardware and software solutions to meet business requirements and enhance the RHEL server environment. · Create and maintain documentation related to system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides. · Perform vulnerability scans using common scanning tools such as Tenable, Hp WebInspect, and others · Investigate security breaches, risks, and attacks; create mitigation plans and implement both proactive and retrospective solutions Minimum Requirements TCS136, T4, Band 7 · Active Secret clearance is required. · Due to agency and contract requirements, candidates must be U.S. citizens with no dual citizenship. · This contract supports systems that require 24x7x365 uptime. Candidates must be willing and able to meet recall requirements, including participation in a rotational on-call schedule. · Telework: Candidates must reside within a commutable distance and be available to work onsite at the customer’s discretion. This includes being on-site during the transition period. Must be based around Colorado Spring, CO. · This individual must be able to accommodate a rotational on-call schedule as needed. ·  This position requires a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
· 7+ years of experience working as a system admin on Linux or Red Hat systems is required. Related experience is acceptable.
