NA - Nursing Assistant - Float Team - Full Time Evening

The Nursing Assistant (NA) in the Float Team at Essentia Health provides vital direct care to patients by assisting with personal hygiene, nutritional needs, and comfort measures. This role requires close supervision from registered nurses and involves taking vital signs, reporting changes in patient conditions, and maintaining a safe environment for healing. Certified Nursing Assistants must either hold certification or register as non-certified within a specified period and must also complete BLS certification.
Building Location:32nd Avenue BuildingDepartment:14131 Float Pool - Med/SurgJob Description:Seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant or non-certified Nursing Assistant to work on the float team at the 32nd Avenue Building in Fargo. This is a fully benefitted position, working 32 hours every week and every other weekend, primarily on the evening shift (1500-2330).Education Qualifications:The NA or CNA is responsible for providing direct care to patients and serving the needs of patients in a manner conducive to their safety and comfort, under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, Nurse Manager, Assistant Head Nurse, and/or Department Director to contribute to meeting the mission and goals of Essentia Health. Duties will vary by patient care unit/department and include but are not limited to: Providing personal hygiene care, assisting with nutritional needs, providing comfort care and other assistance, appropriately and safely transferring patients, taking vital signs and completing recordkeeping, recognizing and promptly reporting changes in patient condition to the RN, and maintaining a safe, clean environment for patients to promote the healing process. Works within job scope to meet the requirements of the Joint Commission and other applicable federal, state and local regulatory and accrediting agencies.
Licensure/Certification Qualifications:- Certified Nursing Assistant or registered as a non-certified Nurse Assistant through the North Dakota Department of Health within three months of date of employment.
