Length: 13 weeks
Requirements:
- CA License
- Minimum 2 years of Telemetry experience
- Must have experience with vents, groin care and chest tubes.
- Must be able to read strips
- BLS
- NIH
- ACLS
- Ratios - 1:5
- Accepts 1st time travelers
- May float to other Med Surg

Patient Population:Adolescents - Geriatrics
Must be able to work in Telemetry setting. Must have experience with vents, groin care and chest tubes.
Required Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency Response Skills:Interpretation of dysrhythmiasManagement of dysrhythmiasTelemetry - on the unit monitoringTelemetry - remote monitoring
Required Cardiovascular skills:Post Cardiac AngiogramPost MIPre/Post Cardiac CathPre/Post Cardiac Surgery
Required IV Therapy/Phlebotomy Skills:Blood Product AdministrationCentral line care/managementPICC line managementStarting IVs
Required Medication skills:Heparin ProtocolsManage Cardiac drips- no titrationManage Vasoactive drips-no titration
Required Respiratory/Thoracic Skills:Care of Chronic/Long-term Ventilated PatientChest tubes-Emerson/PleuravacExternal CPAP/BIPAPHigh Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)Nasal CannulaNon-invasive airway managementOxygen face masksTracheostomy Management
