Weekends are required for unit coverage. Sometimes it is not every other, can be split for coverage.
Requirements:
  • GA License
  • 1 year of experience
  • BLS
  • ACLS
Others:
  • Unit Systems: Pyxis, EPIC & SBAR
  • Unit accepts first time travelers
  • Float to other departments as needed to cover facility
  • COVID-19 Vaccine (Facility Guideline):Required - Medical/Religious Exemptions Only
  • Will take local candidates
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 1 year - Unit accepts first time travelersPATIENT POPULATION: Adults to Geriatrics, avg daily census 28RATIO: 1:4/5UNIT SYSTEMS: Pyxis, EPIC & SBARDiagnoses: CHF, STEMI, NSTEMI, renal, pulmonary, trauma, stroke, TIA. Anything not unstable enough to require ICU but not stable enough for med surg.Special Procedures: peritoneal dialysis, CPAP, BIPAP, EKG monitoring, stress test, cardiac caths, TR bands. We also handle medication infusions like amiodarone, cardene, carodarone, milrinone, insulin, 3% saline, nitroglycerin, dopamine, dobutamine, lasix, heparin, and TPN.Required Skills/Certs: BLS, ACLS, EpicInterpretation of dysrhythmiasManagement of dysrhythmiasTelemetry -on the unit monitoringTelemetry- remote monitoringPost Cardiac AngiogramPost MIPre/Post Cardiac CathIV insulin protocolsTitration of Insulin dripsFeeding tube care and managementGenitourinary/RenalPre/Post Hemodialysis ManagementRenal failureBlood Product AdministrationCentral line care/managementPeripheral Line Care/ManagementPICC line managementStarting IVsHeparin ProtocolsManage Cardiac drips- no titrationManage Vasoactive drips-no titrationPCAProcedural Sedation AdministrationTitrate Cardiac dripsTitrate Vasoactive dripsCVAPre/Post neurosurgeryTraumatic Brain injuryOrtho traumaTotal Joint ReplacementsSurgical drainsChest tubes-Emerson/Pleur-evacExternal CPAP/BIPAPHigh Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)Nasal CannulaOxygen face masksNon-invasive airway managementTracheostomy ManagementIsolation PrecautionsWound Care/Wound VacSCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS:RTO: MAX 7 days, Blocked Scheduling Not GuaranteedHoliday RTO cannot be requested, however No one works all the major holidays unless they request to do so.WEEKENDS: Weekends are required for unit coverage. Sometimes it is not every other, can be split for coverage.FLOATING: Float to other departments as needed to cover facilityCOMPLIANCE: Full compliance required to start on time, if not compliant in time the push back is 2 weeks due to bi-weekly orientation schedule.
