As a Travel Nurse (RN) in Telemetry/Stepdown, I provide critical care to adult and pediatric patients for a 13-week assignment, working night shifts with a focus on patient responsiveness and care management. With a required RN license, two years of experience, and certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS, I manage various complex patient diagnoses, including strokes and COVID. My role involves floating between units based on patient needs, utilizing the EPIC system for documentation and patient care coordination.

Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN - Stepdown/PCU 4E
Shift: Nights / 6:30p-6:30a, 12x3, 36hrs per week, every 3rd weekend
Length: 13 weeks
Requirements: 
  • NE RN License
  • 2 years experience
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • NIHSS
Other details:
  • Float: Yes, ideally to MS areas. Float will depend on highest need
  • EMR: EPIC
  • Patient population: Adult, peds
  • RN Ratio (Days): 1:4
  • Common Patient Diagnosis: CVA, TIA, shortness of breath, COVID, subdural hematoma, weakness
  • Common Drips/Medications: PCA pumps for pain management, cardizem, insulin
  • Patient Experience challenges/focus: hourly rounding and responsiveness
