Beacon Brook Center for Health & Rehabilitation, a member of the National Health Care Association family of skilled nursing facilities, with 126-beds, a high census, and an excellent reputation, is losing its Director of Nursing to retirement and seeking a strong Director of Nursing to hit the ground running. Beacon Brook is the preferred facility when it comes to hospitals and other referral sources in the greater Naugatuck area; its family-oriented, with a lot of familiarity between families in the community and the long-term staff, some of which have worked here for as long as 30 years. There is strong corporate support for the Director of Nursing, ADNS, and Administrator including a full complement of regional resources: Clinical Operations, Clinical Reimbursement, Operations, and Sales & Marketing.
What You'll Do:
As the Director of Nursing, you will provide strategic leadership to the nursing team, setting goals and objectives aligned with our mission. You will foster excellence and innovation in nursing care. Your leadership will shape the culture of our facility and drive the advancement of healthcare practice.
The Director of Nursing Services has 24-hour accountability and is responsible for the delivery of high-quality and cost-effective health care at the center, while achieving positive clinical outcomes, and patient/resident and employee satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of nurses and healthcare professionals
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance nursing practices
- Oversee nursing operations, including staffing, training, and quality assurance
- Set high standards to ensure the delivery of exceptional care to our residents
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize resident care plans Ensure compliance to regulatory standards
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in nursing care

What You'll Bring:
Qualifications of a Director of Nursing include:
- Valid state RN nursing license
- Advanced degree or certification preferred
- Commitment to resident-centered care and excellence in healthcare delivery
- Visionary mindset with a focus on innovation and quality improvement
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care
- Interest in the nursing needs of the aged and the chronically ill with the ability to work with both
- Strong clinical, leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills
- Experience in a senior nursing leadership role in a Long-Term Care or similar healthcare setting preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
