RN - Hospice at Providence summary:

The RN Nurse Clinician is responsible for providing holistic care to terminally ill patients, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to develop and adjust the Plan of Care. This role focuses on enhancing the quality of life for patients and their families while ensuring effective communication and continuity of care. With a commitment to whole-person care, the RN Nurse Clinician contributes to a supportive culture that values patient needs and caregiver well-being.

Description

The RN Nurse Clinician provides holistic care to terminally ill pediatric or adult patients and their families by assessing the needs of the patient, and then planning, coordinating, implementing, and as needed, revising the Plan of Care. The RN Nurse Clinician works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary hospice group (IDG)with the goals of anticipating changes in the patient's condition, avoiding crises, promoting patient and family choice, ensuring continuity of care, and enhancing the quality of life of dying patients. Shift, schedule and caseload of shifts and caseload may vary according to position assignment.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree Nursing or Bachelor's Degree Nursing. Or equivalent educ/experience.
  • upon hire: Washington Registered Nurse License.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 year Nursing experience; some pediatric nursing experience required for a position in the Pediatric Programs.
  • Prior Hospice, Homecare, Long Term Care, medical/surgical, and/or oncology experience.

About the Team

Providence Home and Community Care (HCC) is a service line within Providence with over 8,000 caregivers and 2,000 volunteers serving nearly 200,000 people a year, in their homes, in clinics and in a variety of congregate living ministries across our seven-state footprint.
