The Department of Cancer Immunology and Virology focuses on cutting-edge research on the role of the immune system in cancer, including the development of novel therapeutics. The Department of Immunology at HMS studies basic immunological mechanisms and their relevance to human diseases. The academic appointment will be in the Department of Immunology at Harvard Medical School, which provides mentoring, the ability to closely interact with HMS scientists, and access to core resources. The position is funded and will be located at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. The position provides an attractive start-up package and outstanding opportunities for collaboration with basic and translational investigators. Successful appointment to Assistant Professor will be based on evaluation of research experience, training, and achievements, including teaching activities. Candidates with an M.D., Ph.D., or M.D./Ph.D. are eligible to apply. Candidates will be expected to participate in the teaching activities of the Harvard Medical School for medical students, graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows.
