STATUS:
  • Full-time
SCHEDULE:
  • Monday - Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm
RATE OF PAY:
  • $32.00 - $35.00 per hour/DOE

QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of:
  • Three years' experience in the field of construction and general repairs, including at least one year of experience in carpentry, or any equivalent combination of formal training and experience.
Skills and Ability to:
  • Establish and maintain interpersonal relationships, developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintaining them over time.
  • Successfully lead, motivate, and train staff.
  • Encourage and build mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
  • Communicate to crew members and trades in a clear, consistent, and professional manner.
  • Attempt to resolve project workflow challenges as well as interpersonal conflict amongst crew before bringing issues to superiors.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to complete daily activities according to work schedule.
  • Manage one's time to meet productivity standards.
  • Read and interpret construction blueprints and sketches.
  • Measure and calculate correctly to cut material to size.
  • Communicate effectively in the English language both verbally and in writing to receive and convey information.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with hands and to work in mechanically oriented situations.
  • Physical strength and stamina to perform manual labor tasks.
  • Use power tools properly and safely.
  • Work in various weather conditions.
Education and Experience:
  • Three years' experience in the field of construction and general repairs, including at least one year of experience in carpentry, or any equivalent combination of formal training and experience.
License:
  • Valid Washington State driver's license.
Working Conditions: Work is performed in a variety of locations in both indoor and outdoor environments regularly exposed to dust, odors, fumes, and noise. Position requires frequent lifting of heavy materials, tools and equipment and the ability to perform physical labor under adverse weather conditions. Physical Requirements: Heavy work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Must be able to stand, bend, climb, balance, lift, carry, crouch, and kneel as required by job.
