Sterile Processing Technician – Sterile Processing at Providence Health and Services summary:
The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for cleaning, inspecting, sterilizing, and distributing surgical instruments and equipment to ensure patient safety and support clinical procedures. This role requires knowledge of sterile processing standards and collaboration with other healthcare departments. Certification within one year of hire and relevant training or experience in sterile processing or surgical technology are required or preferred.
The Sterile Processing Technician will be responsible for the cleaning, inspection, sterilization and distribution of sterile instrumentation and equipment. They will work collaboratively with other departments to ensure all supplies, instrumentation and equipment are available for procedures. They will be knowledgeable in sterile processing standards and serve as a patient safety advocate.

Within 1 year of hire National Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association Or

Coursework/Training Sterile Processing and Distribution Or
Coursework/Training Surgical Technician
Previous experience in Sterile Processing or knowledge of surgical instrumentation.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
