Guide new technologies and mass production developments by generating new technical ideas and maturing concepts designs and drawings to meet the established specification and guidelines with the key purpose of maintaining Honda’s high quality and customer’s satisfaction in mainly, but not limited to, the Power Products category.
2D/3D CAD Software (Catia)
~ Drawing Issue Processing (Endeavor)
~ Key Design Calculations (Gear, Spring, FEA, Tolerance Stacks, etc.)
With these drawings, facilitate the prototype generation, engineering estimates, supplier negotiations, factory assembly confirmations and finally mass production specification setting.
Support on-site activities such as prototype builds and collaboration with research members to understand test related concerns and implement countermeasures to design.
Drive or establish small project teams through Project Leader Role to meet the targets and schedule of the development by ensuring:
Effectively utilize contractor resources
Communicate project status and participate or lead project meetings, discussions, and development events.
Drive or establish bill of materials to track impacts of new technologies, features, and components by using cost tables, cost simulation software, and supplier quoting to guarantee project team cost targets are maintained.
Drive and develop basic ideas to improve Honda competiveness by product features and technologies, or by factory or development efficiency with minimal supervision.
Support or drive market quality and VA themes with minimal supervision. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in related field.
2+ years engineering experience preferably in Power Products or Powersports.
Competent in FTA, FMEA, dimensional tolerance stack-ups and application
Competent drawing and layout skills/techniques, include understanding of CAE principles

Overtime: Overtime expected based on project demands/responsibilities.
