Cardiac Rehabilitation Specialist at Providence Health and Services summary: The Cardiac Rehabilitation Specialist provides direct patient care including assessment, intervention, evaluation, and supervision of exercise therapy and ECG monitoring for cardiac patients. The position is located onsite at Providence Alaska Medical Center and emphasizes patient education, cardiac medication knowledge, and exercise physiology. Description Provides direct patient care, assists with coordination of patient education and activity planning. Responsible for patient assessment, intervention, evaluation, education and supervision of ECG (telemetry and non-telemetry), and exercise therapy. Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association 1 year experience with emphasis on knowledge of cardiac medication, exercise physiology, nutrition, counseling techniques and patient education.
