This position offers a Night Shift schedule from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM, with 36 hours scheduled and 24 hours guaranteed per week.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum stages. You will work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring the safety and well-being of both mothers and infants, while collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
- Monitor fetal heart rate and maternal vital signs during labor.
- Administer medications as prescribed and manage pain relief options.
- Provide support and education to patients and their families.
- Assist in delivering newborns and provide immediate post-delivery care.
- Document all patient interactions and progress in the electronic health record.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 24 months of Labor and Delivery experience, with recent experience within the last 12 months.
- No hits on state license to practice.
Certifications/Licensure
- Active Registered Nurse license verified within the last 30 days.
- Current Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AFM) certification.
- Active NRP certification.
- Active BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA, ARC, or ASHI.
- Driver's license to verify residency.
