Medical Assistant - PACE at Providence Non-RN - Oregon summary:
The Medical Assistant at Providence PACE collaborates with nursing and primary care providers to deliver both clinical and administrative patient care for elderly participants. This role requires completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program, phlebotomy training, and healthcare experience, supporting community-based elder care. The Medical Assistant works collaboratively with the nursing team and primary care provider (PCP) to perform duties as directed to assist in providing basic patient care to assigned participants. Basic patient care needs will be met though both administrative and clinical duties. A MA is expected to perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.

Coursework/Training - Has completed an accredited Medical Assistant program that includes an externship or has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces or equivalent educ/experience.
~ Coursework/Training - Completion of an approved phlebotomy program or other allied health program that includes phlebotomy training in its curriculum or phlebotomy training completed within 60 days of hire.
~ National Medical Assistant Certification upon hire.
~6 months - Healthcare experience.
~6 months - Medical Assistant experience.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
