Surgical Technician – Surgery General at Providence summary:
The Surgical Technician supports surgical teams by preparing sterile fields, assisting surgeons and nurses during procedures, and maintaining surgical instruments and equipment. Required qualifications include graduation from an accredited Surgical Tech program, national certification, and BLS certification, with preferred OR experience. The primary duties of the Surgical Technician include: setting up and maintaining a sterile field, assists surgeon as necessary, assists circulating nurse and other members of the surgical team, maintains familiarity, function and proper care of all OR equipment and instruments. The Surgical Technician initiates responsibility for care of specimens and performs other related duties as assigned
