Travel Nurse Job Details


Healthcare Setting: Level III High Risk Labor & Delivery Unit
Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 1/5/2026 – End: 4/6/2026)
Nursing Shift: Day shifts, 3x12-hour (07:00 – 19:00)
Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
Provided by hospital
First Time Travel Nurses: Registered Nurse Qualifications


Minimum 2.5–3 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience (within the last 12 months)
Active New Jersey RN license or Compact Nursing License (must be in hand at time of submission)
COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
Epic EMR charting experience preferred
Ability to float to High Risk OB unit and, if needed, to nearby lower-volume hospitals within RN scope of practice

Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities


Deliver expert nursing care for laboring mothers and newborns in a Level III high-risk setting
Monitor patients using continuous fetal and maternal monitoring systems
Care for early inductions and antepartum patients
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Float to High Risk OB unit (HROB) and, as needed, to nearby hospitals
Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR (preferred)
Adhere to all hospital policies, including fit testing and maintaining a clean-shaven appearance
Complete all required nursing modules and labs during orientation
