SouthCoast Health is looking for a Part-Time NP/PA For Our Nephrology Department (must be able to work in Savannah and Hilton Head)Provides medical care under the supervision of a licensed physician. Educates patients and patient families. Performs scope of work as outlined in state guidelines, laws, rules and regulations. REQUIREMENTS: Current GA NP/PA licensure. Current BLS/ACLS CPR Certification. Certification from an accredited credentialing body. QUALIFICATIONS: Previous experience in nursing or other medical fields Ability to build rapport with patients and coworkers Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong leadership qualities RESPONSIBILITIES: Rounds on patients in hospital Charts on patients condition and confer with attending physicians Contacts Infectious Disease office for coordination of patient care (appointments, patient demo and clinical information, etc.) Peer to peer reviews Documents findings and actions in the medical record in a concise, accurate and timely manner. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: NP -Masters degree in Nursing. Successful completion of accredited nurse practitioner program. Minimum of three (3) years professional nursing experience in a clinic setting plus one year of nurse practitioner experience preferred. PA - BA/BS, Masters preferred. Graduate of AMA accredited physician assistant program. Minimum of one (1) year experience as a physician assistant, preferably in clinic setting. DFW, EOE, MFVD
