Registered Nurse - PCU
Work alternating day and night shifts with primary placement on one shift with opportunities to assist on others
• Patient ratios of 1:3 for days, nights, and weekends
• Provide care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Float to PCU assignments in ICU may be required
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Use Pyxis medication system and Cerner documentation system
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required (may consider less based on experience)
• Work in 8-bed unit with 6 rooms and daily census of 8 patients

This major medical center serves as a comprehensive healthcare facility providing specialized care including PCU services with advanced monitoring capabilities. The facility maintains high staffing standards and offers extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, lift teams, rapid response teams, and pharmacy services. The organization emphasizes quality patient care and maintains modern equipment and documentation systems to support complex medical cases.
