Akumin is a leading provider of outpatient radiology and oncology services, partnering with top hospitals and health systems nationwide to deliver advanced diagnostic imaging and exceptional patient care close to home. We are currently hiring for a MRI Technologist at our Trion and Cedartown, GA and Centre, AL , facilities. This will be a Part-Time position. As an MRI Technologist , you are responsible for patient safety and the performance of high-quality MR studies, on site and/ or remote. Ensures effective communication with Radiologist, team members, patients, and customers for those who work in the mobile environment. Responsible for Patient Safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications, aseptic injection technique and may require remote MR Technologists Assistant oversite. Produces high quality diagnostic images. Operation of multiple MR systems may be required. Effectively communicates with customers and/or radiologists. Trains and orients new technologists, patient coordinators and MR Technologist Assistants, on site and/or remote. High School Diploma or equivalent experience ARRT (R) or ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT as allowable by contract in lieu of ARRT. 3 months supervised MRI clinical scanning experience OR currently enrolled for more than 6 months in an accredited MRI training program. No experience required Strong customer service skills. Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs. The COVID-19 vaccination is/may be a condition of employment.
