Medical Assistant - PACE at Providence Non-RN - Oregon summary: The Medical Assistant at Providence PACE provides both administrative and clinical support to assist nursing teams and primary care providers in delivering basic patient care to elderly participants. This role involves patient care in clinics and home visits, supporting elders to live active and independent lives. Candidates must have completed accredited medical assistant training, possess national certification, and have healthcare experience. Description The Medical Assistant works collaboratively with the nursing team and primary care provider (PCP) to perform duties as directed to assist in providing basic patient care to assigned participants. Basic patient care needs will be met though both administrative and clinical duties. A MA is expected to perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations. Required Qualifications: Coursework/Training: Has completed an accredited Medical Assistant program that includes an externship or has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces or equivalent educ/experience. Coursework/Training: Completion of an approved phlebotomy program or other allied health program that includes phlebotomy training in its curriculum or phlebotomy training completed within 60 days of hire. National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire. National Medical Assistant Certification upon hire. 6 months of Healthcare experience. 6 months of Medical Assistant experience. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
