The Physical Therapist is responsible for the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with injuries, diseases, and disabilities through various physical therapy modalities. They develop personalized treatment plans to enhance mobility and physical function, educate patients and caregivers, and promote wellness and independence. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy, along with state licensure and BLS certification, with a preference for those with a Doctorate and specialty in Pelvic Health.
Job Description:
This position is responsible for screening, testing, evaluating, diagnosing and treatment of injuries, diseases, and disabilities using physical therapy procedures and modalities in accordance with standard physical therapy practices. The Physical Therapist consults, educates, and trains patients and their caregivers.Posting Specifics

Scope
Performs and documents initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition.
- Develops plans describing a treatment strategy, its purposes, and its anticipated outcome. Plan often includes exercise regimens at the clinic and at home to increase flexibility, strength, or endurance. May use various modalities to relieve pain and reduce swelling.
- Provides information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and support programs. Help to restore physical function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent permanent disability.
- Determines patients ability to be independent and reintegrate into the workplace or community after injury or illness.
- Promotes mission, vision, and values of Intermountain Health, and abides by service behavior standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school is required
- Current/valid state Physical Therapist licensure is required Basic Life Support (BLS) is required
- One (1) year related experience (preferably in a clinic setting) is required
Preferred
Pe lvic Health Specialty is preferred.
- Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy is preferred
- Advanced Care Life Support (ACLS) is preferred
