Travel Nurse (RN) Oncology (ONC Unit) at Epic Travel Staffing summary:

Epic Travel Staffing is seeking an experienced Travel Nurse (RN) specializing in Oncology for a 13-week assignment on the Ortho/Neuro unit. The position requires a TX RN license, BLS certification, and ideally Chemo medication certification, with a shift schedule of weekends and nights. This role involves patient care for oncology patients in a 30-bed unit, with a staff of 59, adhering to a patient ratio of 5/6 while using specialized medical equipment and EMR systems.

Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a  Travel RN - Med-Oncology - Ortho/Neuro 5th Floor

Shift: Nights / 7p-7a, 12x3, 36hrs per week

Length: 13 weeks

4 weekend 12-hr shift requirements per schedule (days: Saturday/Sunday nights: Friday, Saturday, Sunday) Weekend call ins must be made up. Must communicate with unit leaders weekend commitments

Requirements:

  • TX License
  • 1 Year Experience
  • BLS
  • NIH
  • Chemo med certification preferred
  • ACLS, EKG interpretation  preferred
Other Details:
  • EMR – Meditech, Airstrip
  • May float to Med-surg, rehab, Tele
  • Number of Beds - 30
  • Number of Staff – 59 (total head count)
  • Patient Ratios – 5/6
  • Type of equipment – Transfer Sliding boards, Hoyer, C-collars, Post-op shoes, JP drains
