Heavy Duty Mechanics - Second Shift at BURNCO LLC summary:
This position is for Heavy Duty Mechanics responsible for the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment, including Ready-Mix trucks, with a focus on safety, teamwork, and high-quality workmanship. BURNCO is looking to add more skilled Heavy Duty Equipment - Shop Mechanics to our team in a number of our locations across Colorado . Reporting to the Fleet Maintenance Manager, the successful candidates will be responsible for the routine maintenance and repair of our Ready-Mix trucks while keeping our shop facilities safe and clean. Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, plumbing and electrical systems following specifications, and manuals
Visually inspects and listens to machines and equipment to diagnose cause of malfunctions
Ability to diagnose and trouble shoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
May operate mobile equipment including service truck to retrieve down truck assets
Performs daily preventative maintenance, record and inspection on service vehicle to include fueling, cleaning, tire/light inspection, checking and adding fluids as needed.
Perform welding, repair and fabrication
Purchase parts for repairs as needed
May make service calls at other BURNCO plants or job sites as needed
Assist in training co-workers as needed
Required to follow all BURNCO policies and procedures
Proper Preventative Maintenance
Timely Response to Maintenance Service Requests
Good working knowledge of mechanics as related to truck and general maintenance
Ability to use power tools, welders, cutting torches/chains and various safety devices
Demonstrated knowledge of proper mechanic/maintenance procedures such as lockout/tag outs and special work permits
Must be proficient with computer and program systems
Experience with Allison transmissions, Davie 4 and ESA software a plus
Ability to read, write and communicate in English
Commercial Driver’s License a plus
Provide own personal tools up to ¾
High School Diploma preferred
~1 year of Truck Mechanic experience required
~ Experience with concrete mixers and aggregate haul trucks preferred


TRAVEL REQUIREMENT
~ May be required to travel to various company facilities to perform maintenance activities

Employee is exposure to loud noises, heavy machinery, moving equipment, oil, debris, solvents, smokes, gasses, fumes and aggregate materials.
Additional PPE requirements needed for special jobs such as welding, repairing, etc.
