Avera is seeking a Respiratory Therapy Assistant to join the team

Job Summary

Primarily responsible to administer respiratory therapy according to the Respiratory Services Standards of Care and evaluate the effectiveness of that therapy.

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma preferred.
  • Required to be currently enrolled in an A.M.A. approved school of Respiratory Therapy.

Certification, Licensure, Registration

  • Required to possess a temporary Respiratory Therapist License or Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician (CRTT) for the state of South Dakota.

Work Schedule

  • Varied Shifts: occasional weekends; PRN (as needed)

The Respiratory Therapy Assistant at Avera is responsible for administering respiratory therapy in line with established standards of care while evaluating its effectiveness. This role offers opportunities for hands-on experience in a supportive, multidisciplinary healthcare team environment. The position requires enrollment in an A.M.A. approved school of Respiratory Therapy and a temporary Respiratory Therapist License or CRTT certification for South Dakota.
