- Document repairs, maintenance activities, equipment conditions, and parts used in the maintenance management system; recommend improvements to maintenance procedures.
- Follow electrical safety requirements, Lockout/Tagout procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices, food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and applicable plant policies.
- Maintain clean, orderly work areas and promptly communicate equipment issues, hazards, and outstanding maintenance needs. High school diploma or GED required; technical degree, certificate, apprenticeship, or specialized training in electrical technology, industrial automation, electronics, mechatronics, or a related discipline preferred.
- Prior experience troubleshooting electrical and automated equipment in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred; food manufacturing, packaging, processing, or other high-speed production experience is an advantage.
- Working knowledge of several relevant systems, including PLCs and ladder logic, HMIs, industrial electrical systems, VFDs, AC/DC motors and motor controls, servo systems, sensors and instrumentation, relays, contactors, starters, industrial networking, control panels, and field wiring.
- Familiarity with pneumatic and hydraulic systems, mechanical power-transmission components, and computerized maintenance management systems is beneficial.
- Experience with the PLC and automation platforms used at the facility is highly desirable.
- Ability to systematically troubleshoot complex equipment, identify root causes, and apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read electrical schematics, technical drawings, equipment manuals, and maintenance documentation.
- Comfortable using multimeters, electrical testing equipment, hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic instruments safely.
- Able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced production setting, communicate clearly, document work accurately, and collaborate with Maintenance, Engineering, Production, Quality, and other departments.
- Willingness to learn new equipment, control technologies, and automation systems.
